So it’s official, Kitchen Confidential is canceled
December 11, 2005 on 7:16 pm | In Random stuff | Post a Comment (0 entries)Easily one of the best new comedy shows in recent years, Kitchen Confidential is the latest victim in the baffling FOX tradition of canceling great shows. It’s a bit mind boggling why FOX even bothers with shows they can’t properly market, and that don’t even get time to develop, like Firefly, only to see them canceled after a few episodes. Spotting a great cast and superb writing, Kitchen Confidential will be sorely missed.
It’s here. The X-Men 3 Teaser Trailer, baby

Some ideas for Christmas presents…
November 12, 2005 on 2:53 am | In Random stuff | Post a Comment (2 entries)Well, okay, I won’t pretend like I’m one of those people that buy Christmas presents early on. Okay, okay, I admit, this is some stuff I bought for myself and I’m so excited about it that I already told all my friends (yes, both of them) so I thought I’ll let the internet know too.
I’m a big TV fan. You know, TV shows like the X-Files, Seinfeld etc. etc., I watch a lot of them. And there are two GREAT complete series coming out, that you just must have. And if you really love somebody, those make great Christmas presents too. ;)
First of all, there is the complete Friends box – Friends – The One with All Ten Seasons (Limited Edition). I just love Friends. You know, me and my two friends meet every odd week on Saturday and then we take our Star Wars dolls and replay our favorite Friends episodes. Like, we take Princess Leia and she is like Rachel, and then like we take Han Solo, and he’s like Ross, and then we do the episode where like Ross and Rachel finally kiss… Yes, we’re just a bunch of guys with Star Wars figures who love Friends.
Hmm… okay now you surely wonder what we do on our even Saturdays. I’ll tell you that! That’s our Buffy time! You already know I love Joss Whedon. When I saw that the complete Buffy series is coming out in a new sexy limited collection, I peed my pants. After my friend Cosmo assured me that it’s nothing to be ashamed of, I asked my mom for a fresh pair of underpants and went ahead and ordered my copy of Buffy the Vampire Slayer – The Chosen Collection – Seasons 1-7. Yeah, Buffy.. I can’t even recount all the nights me and my friends have spent discussing who would win in a fight between Buffy and Blade. Like Blade has this cool shiny sword and Buffy like only has a wooden stick, and then we get like off topic because somebody mentions Angel, and like you know he would kick BOTH their asses and… Errr, you know, they are such geeks… Anyway, by that time usually Cosmo’s mom screams that we should shut up, so it ends in a draw.
So, that’s about it for today. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet, but check out those two DVD sets. Yours truly, Gambit.
Moi recommends a movie
November 4, 2005 on 2:19 pm | In Random stuff | Post a Comment (0 entries)Okay, I went to see The 40 Year Old Virgin yesterday. And as Chris Rock says, we should all be ashamed for liking it. And I do. It’s disgusting, but sooo funny. Now I know, many people don’t like movies like that, but if you are able to not take yourself too seriously (and if I’ve learned one thing in life, then it’s to not take it seriously), you will love that movie. It’s full of swearing, drunk hoes and erections, but it somehow manages to deal with the topic in a loving non offending way. It’s the perfect movie to watch with your friends while having a few beers. Okay, it might be a bit of a problem to sneak in the beer to the cinema, but it’s worth it. :) Go see it, or rent it when it comes out on the DVD. And you’ll live longer when you laugh more. ;)
Underworld 2 trailer is online!
October 22, 2005 on 2:19 am | In Random stuff | Post a Comment (0 entries)I enjoyed the first one a lot (and not just because there is a hot chick running around in latex ;)), so you can imagine I almost wet my pants watching this. Enjoy the hotness here.
Burrrn 1.14 beta2 and a little something
October 20, 2005 on 4:29 am | In Site related | Post a Comment (32 entries)I have uploaded a new beta of Burrrn that fixes a small bug and adds Croatian translation (thanks to tgotic).
I also wrote a GUI for Moitah’s UnpackCL.exe, so I have added that to the Download section. If you have a standalone DVD player that plays DivX/XviD movies and experience problems with some files (jerkiness), then you might find that useful. I was missing a batch function in Moitah’s tool, so I wrote that little GUI. Enjoy.
Joss Whedon tells it all
August 2, 2005 on 1:58 am | In Random stuff | Post a Comment (6 entries)There is a GREAT interview with Joss Whedon over at www.infocusmag.com. It’s one of the best and most interesting interviews I have read in a long time. It doesn’t hurt that I’m a huge Whedon fanboy either. :P He talks about everything from Buffy to Serenity. It’s really intriguing to read about all the movies he was involved with and never got proper credit for. I highly recommend it, it’s a very engaging read.
Google Earth owns
August 1, 2005 on 1:33 pm | In Random stuff | Post a Comment (1 entries)I’ve been playing around with Google Earth for the past few days. It’s really an amazing tool and so much fun. If you haven’t yet, install it now!
Burrrn 1.14 beta, again
July 28, 2005 on 7:08 am | In Site related | Post a Comment (16 entries)I have uploaded the beta 1.14 installer. It’s the same beta as the previous, but some people always dl just the update and then wonder why it doesn’t work. So there will be just installers available for download from now on. I’m too lazy to reply to the same mails all the time and it’s also easier to maintain. :)
